Having a lot of fun this week. Learned how to create a python server to daily analyze @mozilla websites using @dequesystems #axeCore, create a python API to access the data, and an Angular app to retrieve & display the results 😎 next step - UX!
Not sure why #axecore is allowing placeholders as accessible names for inputs. That fails to work in VoiceOver on Safari macOS. Placeholder text is not spoken once there is a value. So that would be a #FalseNegative pass. #axecon #a11y #JustSayNoToPlaceholders! #AlwaysUseLabels!
That is an #axecore best practice rule that I am currently failing on my site :) If the skip link is what you leave out of landmarks (like I do) it will have no affect on the user really, they're designed for keyboard users anyway right so different audience than screen readers.

From what I've seen, @marcysutton's team working on #axeCore is a great tool.
We need to get @dequesystems #aXeCore brought into @ckeditor so that authors can get immediate feedback about #accessibility problems. #CKEditor is used in #Drupal as well as many of other great #opensource projects. github.com/cksource/ckedi…
