Closing slide from @AyeletLandau on the importance of investigating the temporal structure and dynamics of the brain, rather than studying it like a "frozen" system. Great talk! (and beautiful slides) #brycoco

#brycoco is ready to go! Excited to be spending the next few days with friend and colleagues talking about #brainrhythms (and also excited for my first tweet ever!!)

@ElanaZGolumbic kicks off the #brycoco conference with an introduction on the hypotheses of neural synchrony to the world. Spontaneous, entrainment or top-down control. Probably all three... Let the debate begin!

Lucia Melloni gave a great talk which generated large debate on the interpretation of the Ding et al frequency tagging of hierarchical structure. Here she uses MDS to ask what do we learn when we learn a word in statistical learning #brycoco

Ehud Ahissar discusses perception as a closed loop system in which sensory interact w motor that controls the sensory organ. This generates the rhythm even if there is none. Human hearing? Little motor control & generally rhythmic sound. Maybe that's not a coincidence. #brycoco

In a sense of convolution and normalization, I did some computational modeling work. Interesting stimuli and solid data, but how to better explain them? onlinelibrary.wiley.com/doi/abs/10.111…

On the plane for a few days of #brainrhythms at #brycoco Tel Aviv. Thanks to @ElanaZGolumbic for organizing and @GondaBrain for hosting. The adventure begins!

That concludes this year's #brycoco event! I'm at the airport now ready to head back to Paris with some great new ideas. Thanks again to @ElanaZGolumbic and @GondaBrain for hosting a fantastic event! Can't wait for the next one.

Poster#2 is currently displayed at lalalandtelaviv. Happy to discuss with you about tACS and dyslexia. Spritz are welcome. #brycoco #telaviv #israel #spritz à ללה לנד תל-אביב - LALA Land Tel Aviv instagram.com/p/B2j0NcRILIx/…

Ehud Ahissar: if we know nothing about the structure of the world, then oscillations will not be useful. But if we know about the environments temporal structure (which we do) then oscillations are very effective to reduce cost and improve processing #brycoco

The other speakers in my session @anne_kosem and Lars Rieke gave great talks on tACS and the influence on oscillations and the behavioral consequences in linguistic content and detection. We're running half an hour late but because of some great discussion. Thanks to all #brycoco

I woke up feeling sick & awful. Dreading my talk at #brycoco. But there must be some magic in science. I felt worse & worse up until I started talking. Then my love for my projects took over and we had great discussion on our new paper pnas.org/content/116/20… #thankgodforscience

Good morning #brycoco and beyond! If you missed our poster presented by @maya_inbar you are most welcome to check out this preprint.

Charlie's Schroeder's great talk on active sensing and the critical differences in visual processing for free viewing & fixation. So far a theme is identifying low frequency as being attentional/segmental and high frequency as decoding the items within the segment #brycoco
