You know, what’s stopping you from bringing some of that yourself to the actual meal? If you can’t cook: skill issue.
The biggest issue is I suck at cooking, tho. I have good taste and know where to get things and make drinks, but food? Lmao 🤣 I can make it for myself, but not other ppl
the solution is always journalling and notes to keep track of things but fml my guys forget to do all that LOLLLLL. i just hate it bc it creates a lot of food waste :(
skill issues announced here DAILY. why are yall waiting to cook all the dishes tomorrow?? some of them cakes and sides can be prepped/made today
problem is that i don't really have clean dishes (no one has cleaned dishes in weeks) and i really hate touching dirty stuff so it's kind of hard for me to make food. and even then i don't really have a lot of groceries here so there's not much i could make anyways
The actual problems we face: 1. In cities, veggies fruits come from cold storage. 2. If not organic then there's pesticides. 3. Masala powder packets and bottled sauces are low in taste smell due to loss of nutrients in process. 4. Cleaning vessels doesn't always wash off soap.
Telling you again : 1. Stop romanticising freshly cooked, garam-garam khana. 2. Meal prep saves time, effort and overeating. 3. Meal prep keeps you on track because when food is ready you avoid doing self-talk like “aaj khane mein kya khaya jaye!” 4. Eating the same meals…
Another issue that seemed to happen recently is that many parents don't feed their kids a diverse menu when they're young (& can't protest as much, & their tastes aren't as set). Sticking instead to a limited menu of bland foods. Give them a variety of tastes & textures early!
As a texture girlie I cannot deal with everything being so runny and mushy and all on the same plate just everything mixing with each other it's so gross 😭😭😭
"On 1 hand, we romanticize #cooking as a wholesome, #nourishing activity. On the other, we view it as an unwelcome #chore..This tension often reflects deeper issues surrounding time, skill, gender roles, and #SelfCare.": buff.ly/OM95Apl via @GreaterGoodSC #society
One must know how to prepare & properly cook (bake or fry) so that it is NOT dry or bland tasting... The priblem is a lot of ppl don't know how to cook and/or been to places where ppl can't cook certain foods 🦃
The issue is also hygiene. Spoons or tongs needed instead of hands. Bowls thet were on the counter then put on to the plate next to food. Etc.
I have finally given up on cooking because every time I cook, the food either burns or has too much salt.
cooking actually be very difficult. u know the process of head but some days ejust no dey click. either be over cooked or undercooked, too spicy or not spicy at all. sometimes too u for do everything right but the ingredients no want bond 😂😂🤦🏾♂️
You’ll now be unable to stir the thing well. Aesthetics ti fe assassinate online chefs😭😭
My MAIN PROBLEM with food is the fact there is a lot of it at home, so many options, some will soon expire, some I haven’t had in a while, some I’m craving, also my family might eat it, it won’t be as fresh soon , THIS IS WHAT DRIVES ME CRAZY
The thing is people always try to make this an individual problem (“some people are just bad at cooking!”) rather than acknowledging that there’s a systemic oppression undergirding who is most likely to know how to cook and who is not.
Yes it’s a problem when you own a Vietnamese restaurant and none of your dishes actually look like vietnamese food. Aesthetic of the food is part of the culture so if you’re not going to put effort in appreciating it then I don’t want it.
The most common issue I see with people new to Asian cuisines is that they use too many ingredients. They throw every "Chinese" ingredient they can think of into every dish thinking that it will make it taste more "Chinese". This is a problem.
