Perplexity has released an AI-powered web browser. Auditing it for security and privacy won’t be easy — it’s based on Chromium. OpenAI's web browser is also on Chromium. Also, good luck keeping up with timely security updates. Being a browser vendor is no small feat. :)

And after decades of working in this field, IMO, this privacy eroding #DataVampire infested model has flourished in great part because of a lack of regulatory interest and enforcement action. We are seeing some regulatory action but not enough to tackle what is a global issue

so sick and tired of these dark patterns in consent management platform tools. 'Reject All' does not reject all. You have to click on legitimate interests and 'object all'. That this is on the website of a consumer advice centre is just 🙇‍♀️🙇‍♀️🙇‍♀️🙇‍♀️
