Fixed for slow SI in AutoHotKey: use global directive #Hotstring SP - forces all following HotStrings to SP (SendPlay) mode. == FAST.
This AutoHotkey script should help: #SingleInstance Force #Hotstring EndChars -()[]{}:;'"/\,?!`n `t :C1:ph::pH :C1:ph.::Ph. This could be refined, e.g. to work only in certain progams, and it could be compiled to .exe for use without AutoHoteky installed.

Another neat point: typing ?* inside all the colons is repetitive and unnecessary; just put #Hotstring ?* at the top of the script and it will apply those options automatically to all the hotstring in the script!
