We're also broadcasting live on Facebook with Mike from @UstadMobile abt #J2ObjC - we'll be building an #Android app on #AndroidStudio in #Java and port the business logic directly into #ObjectiveC for #iOS and #xCode facebook.com/story.php?stor…

Many thanks for the workshop, @mikesdawson & @UstadMobile .. #J2ObjC is a great time saver for #Android/#iOS developers! If anyone else would like to conduct a guest workshop at the Assembly, get in touch! Only criteria - you must be willing to share content as open source

😅 I'm using transpilers to transpile from Java to other languages... Java2JavaScript #GWT Java2ObjectiveC #J2ObjC Javs2D ... Okay not Java2D that graphical stuff... but here you are forum.dlang.org/post/avukyilkk…

Hmm… iOS - Swift with #J2ObjC Android - Java So, all #Java. 😅

Told you all, the best way to implement multiplatform support is by using a transpiler to the target platform, like Java-to-JavaScript with #GWT or Java-to-Objective-C with #J2ObjC. Goodbye #Flutter and #React Native — welcome native development with transpilers.

Liquid glass. Good luck Flutter

You don't know the fact. I also don't know. So one on one comparison 😉 I don't think that Google devs created #J2ObjC and #GWT #J2CL just for fun ☺️ There are some Web, iOS and Android apps built in this style. And for this #macOS is the way 👍 See developers.google.com/j2objc

... and for any other companies smaller than Google, I recommend just stay in #Java 😅 I'll write down, why, stay tuned. Interesting for me, they mentioned #J2CL and #J2ObjC transpilers from Java to #Closure #JavaScript and Java to #ObjectiveC 👍

Nowhere with those platform independent frameworks... Just take the native frameworks. If you want to reuse take transpilers like #GWT #J2ObjC.

Only small tools like #J2ObjC can be used if you want to reuse your Java logic. In Android Google world also the same, Google dictate the world. Here we as Java developers are lucky because Java is one of the main language, so reuse is easily possible.

I'm always for MVP (Min. Via. Product). If I think my customers are coming from mobile Android I'll pick native mobile Android development. Later I could extend and use tools to reuse codes like #GWT #J2CL #J2ObjC. But not another way around.

Today's Cross Platform Development Tools (#Web, #Mobile, #Desktop): (1) #dotnetmaui #Microsoft (2) #flutter #Google (3) #Java with #GWT #J2CL and #J2ObjC plus #native #Apple and #Android What about #ReactNative? What do you choose? Is there any other tools available today?

Today I never touch those "über multi platform framework" like Flutter. Not worth it. All logic based on #Java. Native in Android, native in Apple world + #J2ObjC Java2ObjC transpiler, #GWT Java2JS transpiler in Webbrowser, Swing / JavaFX for desktop. All in Java 😅
