Yesterday my wife and I told our older daughter that we’d be making our own pizza for dinner. She ran and grabbed her copy of @meliwai’s Pizza Day and carried it around with her all day. We read it several times, including at dinner! A great day, made even better by a great book.

So we’ve tried this “sprout a seed in a baggie” multiple times and it’s just never worked. But this time, finally, it sprouted!!! The kids are pretty excited about it. If you’ve also had issues what finally worked for us this time was soaking it overnight beforehand.

It is so important to collect the #oralhistory(ies) of the elders in your family. I learnt so much from interviewing my Nani yesterday, notwithstanding my terrible Urdu, about her life story. I only wish that I was able to interview my Nana before the onset of his Alzheimers.
