One pro with linux I don't see people talking about enough is how it's filesystem design optimizes space All so (dll on Windows) are in /usr/lib, all executables in /usr/bin, local executables in home/.local/bin, etc It's easy to find and indirectly good for disk space

Eu só não fui para o linux por conta da falta de suporte para jogos online, anti cheat eh complicado. Linux eh mais otimizado no geral, ele consome menos recursos da memoria ram, sem falar que eu grátis e cada distro tem suas particularidades.

Omfg this idiot doesn't even know what Linux is or how it works There is no LinuxOS. Linux is a Kernel... and people make an OS with it like Debian, Ubuntu, Arch etc. Steam OS is one such OS. You can write code on it, edit videos on it, use twitter on it its a PC LOOK

Incorrect considering Linux is an open source operating system which means anyone can grab it and make something different, a distro. There’s good distros and there’s bad distros. Linux is like a big ice cream shop, so many flavors to choose from!

Please don’t advertise your ignorance publicly like that. It’s embarrassing. Linux is not an OS and never was. Linux is a kernel. A part of the Unix-like OS depending on what userland you put on top which is usually a GNU userland but it doesn’t have to be.

Also linux isn't your run of the mill fisher price OS like Macintosh or Windows. Like why can I update my kernel through the terminal if I want driver support for a new component? So until they turn it into a Fisher price OS it'll never go mainstream.

Linux is just a kernel Any OS built on top of it is a Linux-based So, Debian, Arch, Alpine, Android... These are Linux-based OSes. For the sake market,promotion and simplicity, we just say "Linux" referring to all.
