Just built `npx` but for PHP, pretty cool 🔥 Super easy to always run the latest PHP based apps & scripts - phx handles the installation, caching, and running 🤩

[@Talus_Labs ] @Edward__Park 님과 @Talus_Labs 프로젝트와 진행한 AMA내용입니다!
💪 NodeJS isn’t just popular. It’s also trusted by giants: 0. PayPal: Rewrote their app in NodeJS, delivered 2x faster with fewer devs. Reduced lines of code by 33%, and boosted performance by 35%. 1. LinkedIn: Migrated their mobile backend from Rails to Node. Cut down servers…
If frontend is harder than backend why is the frontend space more crowded. You guys must be joking
Where is the lie 😂😂😂😂 Omo it feels so wired learning backend meanwhile everyone wants to be a frontend developer 😂😂😂
⚡ Why is Node.js everywhere? The next time you order food on Swiggy, book a cab on Uber, or scroll endlessly on Netflix, you’re using Node.js without even realizing it. Why? Because Node.js is fast, scalable, and perfect for apps that handle millions of real-time requests. Some…
I ported the in-memory DB particle benchmark to JavaScript and it absolutely nosedives in performance. I get 10 FPS, the C++ app got 60+ FPS. But this is still better than the 1-2 FPS you get with Redis, and it shows the JS interface could work. Perf. is indeed underwhelming 🤔
php dev vs a javascript dev on five layers of abstractions and typescript
Typescript is ergonomically superior to PHP in almost every way
Serving an 8 KB package.json file Bun v1.2.16: 219,714 req/s (5x faster) Node v24.1.0: 39,178 req/s
If you use our Zerolith PHP framework, you should know that it is fastest on Apache for whatever reason. Here is load framework and output hello world per sec on a 8 core laptop processor. PHP FPM is just slower even in big scripts, by the same approx. 22%
Look, say what you will about it, but right click editing a PHP file in an FTP client with upload-on-save is still the tightest and fastest feedback loop I've ever had in my life. We actually don't know how to do this anymore as an industry.
