I do think PIP needs reform. I think more people need help. I think assessors need appropriate medical training. I think people that have life long conditions that won't improve shouldn't need to keep going through this.
Yep. 64 here. Was awarded #PIP of £300 pm for next 10 yrs. I'm not safe though. No one is. Can't get #StatePension until 67. Truth is, they want us oldies dead. It's reason why they brought in #AssistedSuicide Bill. They don't even know or care how bad the meds used will impact.

Yeah well, us oldies on #PIP who only get daily living of £300 pm have no understanding of what it's like to get a free car. Word is, it's to do with the mobility component.

18% of those on #PIP ARE IN WORK. She says anxiety doesn’t help with her getting back to work . She doesn’t say she gets PIP for anxiety. It may be for a different condition & used to support her in work. PIP needs diagnosis letters to support application & up to & >year.
Doc makes some very good points here. I'm 64 & was diagnosed with long-term COPD. It's a constant battle to stave off anxiety at home, let alone having to travel with it. One more time, for those at the back.. Leave #PIP claimants the hell alone!
