So thrilled to see this #traitdata workshop happening! With you in spirit - y’all tweet please! I’ll tweet from Helsinki @ICEDIG_eu icedig.eu/content/dissco… and we can share insights across the ocean. Looking forward to @DiSSCoEU @SPNHC contributing more data to @GlobalBiotic

So excited to be here! Some very inspiring meetings this morning with Meg, Bryan, and Hans discussing #traitdata #EBVs #marineinvertebrates #panTHERIA #GLOBI globalbioticinteractions.org #dataskills #mites #orphanedcollections and too much more to list!

Help on the way! Check out @GlobalBiotic & the new Parasite-Tracker #biocollections digitization effort funded by @NSF to mobilize Terrestrial ectoparasite #traitdata headed for @iDigBio! Museum collections chock-full of such vital information. See info parasitetracker.org

To @ZaspelLab, how can ecologists collaborate in this effort? I’m thinking some of #ESA2019 conference attendees will be interested in this resource - and may have more #traitdata for @GlobalBiotic and Parasite Tracker.

Excited to have this work out led by Ph.D. candidate, @VaughnShirey in our lab! #ecology #evolution #traitdata @ScientificData

This post is unavailable.

3/question about morphometrics data. If folks vouchering specimens have measurements and #traitdata for specific specimens, can you ingest in your database too and then export to @iDigBio @GBIF? In hopes of richer data and extending the value of all that time documenting traits!

To #ECN folks, since the words hilltopping (insects) and lekking (birds) are expressing the same/similar concept, are there different words for this #behavior for other organismal groups? Curious about this #traitdata concept. (got an #ontology for that?)

Leaf shape evolution and where an insect does or does not lay their eggs - what's the relationship? Cool #traitdata analysis here. I wonder if host-species associations @GlobalBiotic could add to this investigation? @ZaspelLab @irene_moon have a look :-)
