Location of the USAF forward base set up deep within Iran for the F-15 crew rescue mission. The base was set up just outside of Isfahan, a critical Iranian strategic hub with missile and army bases, nuclear facilities, and the airbase home to Iran’s F-14 fleet.

BREAKING: One of the US HC-130J Combat King IIs destroyed at the FARP site in southern Iran was forced to make an emergency landing after being engaged by Iranian air defenses. Its crew was rescued by a second HC-130J during the same CSAR operation that extracted the F-15E WSO.
🇺🇸 Footage published by IRNA/IRIB from the Forward Area Refueling Point (FARP) made by US Air Force shows the wreckage of the C-130 Hercules and at least 1x MH-6 Little Bird helicopter left behind at the forward base in Iran. The Scenes from the FARP align with the US

My dude, take a look at this plane and tell me it's a FARP and not a TRAP.
Mortar shells were fired by the IRGC at their FARP.
Appears that U.S. forces also destroyed at least one MH-6 Little Bird helicopter left behind at the forward base in Iran.

Knowing three of the 8SOS guys from that era So happy to see the Talon / Jolly guys pulled this off FARP and all #WithTheGutsToTry
I think, one of the first or earliest deployment of FARP (Forward Arming Refuelling Point) in South Asia post the US invasion of Afghanistan, is the Daulat Beg Oldi base of India which was modified for C130J Herucles landings @scoutdesk #OSINT
Its too far for helicopters, and refuelling over a hot HLZ is going to lose a lot more aircraft. Helicopters are capable at 30-100 km, maybe 2 hours of total flight time, which is why they brought a FARP (HC-130) to keep them in the fight for the duration.
The reality is we set up a FARP (you don’t know what that is) inside Iran, killed hundreds of Iranians, rescued our man, and took zero KIA. You’re a fucking retard

why would they set up or try to set up a FARP from atleast 400km away from the last known crash site? they're cooking something else. another eagle claw?
It’s called a FARP. They established a base of operations from which to conduct the search and rescue. The C-130s brought personnel to guard the site and fuel (“wet wing”) for the helicopters. As a helicopter gunner who has trained extensively in CSAR, it adds up completely.
The aircraft that got destroyed in the FARP costs the equivalent of 10 dollars on a 100K salary.
Interesting No FARP btw, they used an old agricultural runway instead (pics below) at 32.221360,51.901322 Speed and Surprise remains unbeaten in ops like these. Which is why my point still stands, an HEU raid is suicidal precisely because it is neither quick nor surprising.
Contrary to popular belief helicopters and aircraft don’t really like landing on mountains and would rather land in the desert. You know where it’s flat and shit? A FARP requires very minimal equipment, refueling, and sometimes ammo.
Kudos to all involved. Setting up a FARP in county, flying around un contested and they pulling out the pilots. Fucking amazing work 👏
Lol we built a FARP deep inside Iran to get our guy and people still trying to claim Iran is winning Ironically, this is ~20 miles from the Isfahan complex where Iran's uranium is allegedly being stored
Details about the rescue op for the U.S. Weapon Systems Officer, via a U.S. military official: "The mountain top area on the left is where the WSO was hiding (he ejected 5ish miles northwest of there). The right area is the makeshift landing strip where they landed 2 C-130s
That site is quite far from the crash site... they tried to set up a FARP, a temporary airport to bring in more equipment and launch a larger ground operation from there.
The two MH-6/AH-6 Little Bird helicopters (Night Stalkers, 160th SOAR) destroyed at the Iran FARP site during the F-15E WSO rescue each cost around $2 million. Total: roughly $4 million in assets intentionally torched to keep them out of Iranian hands. The C-130s were the bigger
Is this the FARP? In an open empty desert? This is what's left of the "FARP" As if many people weren't just shooting at the planes and helicopters with guns. No FARP in sight, as if a country with 90 million people just stare at some planes and helicopters.
Suspect this op is more than CSAR, locación of FARP near Isfahan and MH-6 only make sense in something else was going on....
I'm going to keep it 💯 with you big dog, it takes a ton of personnel to provide security for a pickup site, run a FARP, medical, coordinate aircraft from the ground etc.
Scenes from the FARP align with the US destruction of their own equipment on the evac of the Second Pilot (WSO) from Iran. No impact crater or evidence of drone impacts. Drone would be similar to the E3 in Saudi and a BM or similar scenario would indeed leave a mark.
