Soldiers of the 29th Infantry Division Headquarters were recognized for their federal active duty service June 26, 2022, in Baltimore, Maryland. The Soldiers returned home in March 2022 after completing a 9-month deployment to the U.S. Central Command area of responsibility.
Over the weekend, we recognized our @29thID Soldiers for their federal active duty service in support of Operation Spartan Shield. Thankful for all that they do!
1st Battalion, 111th Field Artillery, 116th IBCT staff had the honor of awarding nine Combat Action Badges for actions taken April 8, 2022, when Soldiers employed the C-RAM system to defend against an armed unmanned aircraft system.
These 1-111th FA Soldiers received the Combat Action Badge for their for their response to an enemy attack on Al Asad Airbase in Iraq, April 8, 2022. As an armed UAS approached the base, they employed the C-RAM, to shoot down the enemy threat.
