I feel like I’ve never seen Gobert play on a higher level than he’s currently playing now
Rudy Gobert is an incredible defender. One of the greatest anchors ever. What he did the last few minutes of that game was ridiculous. Scrambling, recovering, covering multiple people, saving teammates. Also, Cavs are a blast. Garland, Mobley and Allen is an awesome young core.
Jazz ESCAPE with a win, 109-108. Good defense on the final possession, Conley defending Garland extremely well. Gobert just an absolute monster late. Wow, wow, wow moments. Mitchell a very good game until the final two minutes, but still: 35 points on just 21 shots. MIN weds
Mike at the end, but Rudy was freaking amazing in the 4th. Took over the game on the defensive end.
The Jazz come up with the stop. They win 109-108 PHENOMENAL defensive possession from Utah. Conley denies Garland penetration, forces tough shot…the Jazz box out and clean up Utah moves to 16-7 on the season. Good win for them to start the trip
And the thing is, it's not like he decided "I"m ONLY focusing on Ja." He is incredibly mindful of where JJJ is the whole time, and the second he sees that Ja is passing it, he sprints back from literally one foot in the RA to contest the 3. Which maybe like 5 people can do.
