My uni mate (Stu) who I met in 1989 came round this weekend. Bought some photos of us back in the day. This is circa late 1990 or early 1991 - my Amiga A500 with A590 HDD. Can just make out him playing a Tetris game I wrote in C. We were addicted to it! #amiga #a500 #tetris
#Sharptember A chance find among a bunch of tapes I won in an auction turned up something pretty interesting, a compilation tape of games written by Col Needham (the creator of IMDb) and likely his master tape from which he sold his mail order games. Here's his game "UFO Attack".

Programming in C for the Oric is possible thanks to OSDK! Here I ported a program from dflat (see elsewhere about this) to C. Despite my handle, I do like C - learnt it back in early 1989 on my Amiga A500. As we know, C is still used extensively today! youtu.be/wLsLQ_LsYGU

I've modded my homebrew - too many peripherals makes it unstable I think. So no more real time clock, but kept the 6551 ACAI for serial. This video shows a custom file transfer protocol to get files from the PC onto the homebrew! youtu.be/ms-w9NC0ubs
