We are pleased to report, that the request to increase our staffs Revised Environmental Allowance has concluded. From this month, our Police Staff will see a 133% increase in their annual allowance. Additionally, the mechanism for annual review has also been agreed. @nipsa

This evening Chief Constable Jon Boutcher, Deputy Chief Constable Bobby Singleton, @Justice_NI Minister Naomi Long and @NIPolicingBoard Chair Mukesh Sharma attended our Highly Commended Awards. Awards were presented to officers who've demonstrated exceptional bravery.
The breach occurred over two years ago, and proceedings were issued in October 2023. To raise affordability as a barrier at this stage is not only disappointing, it reflects a failure of foresight and responsibility. Staff affected by this breach deserve resolution—not excuses.
