Bill Schuette wants to repeal prevailing wage, which would cut the paychecks of Michigan’s skilled trades men and women, and hurt union apprenticeship programs, which provide skilled trades job training at no cost to taxpayers. He’s not on the side of working people.
Michigan is facing the challenge of a smaller workforce that needs more training. While we have 300,000 fewer jobs than before the Great Recession, good-paying skilled jobs still sit empty. We can fix this problem by providing options in education for skilled trades. #JobsGov
