Pick a side, any side, and screw down the keel band making sure the overlap is constant along the slot strip.
Ok so at a very entertaining nationals a number of people asked me how I replaced the slot strips on Blue Moon. Here is how I did it and this will apply to any boat that can use screwed in keel bands

I'm glad to say it has dried quite nicely. Next week I will clean up the varnish.

Ah the great joys of painting. I decided it was time for Blue Moon to have some love with the Nationals coming soon. You soon realise how big an Osprey is when you start to rub one down!

The great joys of trying to work out Squib jibs continues. Trees are very useful things it seems. Even more jib sag than you can possibly imagine gave us reasonable pace for Monday night's drifty race, but it doesn't help when you're an idiot at the gybe mark. All my own fault!
Latest project... really enjoying sailing my Squib at Weymouth. Thanks to all the sailors who have helped with tips and advice on making this unconventional rig make sense. I may actually understand it in another 20 years.
