#OTD in 1939, Al Capone's lawyer "Easy Eddie" O'Hare was gunned down. He had been an informant for the IRS and a key figure in Scarface's conviction for tax evasion. His son, Butch O'Hare, became a Navy fighter ace during WWII and is the namesake of Chicago's O'Hare Airport.
