Democrats “controlled” the state house from 2017-2023 and retook control in 2024, and haven’t received any pushback from voters. Heck they also “flipped” the state senate in 2022 and retained control in 2024. They’re already somewhat strong as it is.
By this logic, Republicans will start winning Hawaii by 2036. 🙄

If VA is a bellwether, the midterms and 2028 are going to be awful. If the Dems control the country in 2028, we'll never get it back.

With today’s swearing in of Governor Spanberger, Democrats secure a trifecta and total control in Virginia. Republicans are completely locked out of power - they hold no statewide offices and are minorities in both chambers of the legislature.
