This tweet by the CDC director should be reported for misinformation because it deliberately leaves out masks and ventilation/filtration, two of the most effective measures against all *respiratory* viruses.

The good news is that respiratory viruses can't evolve to evade the laws of physics, and so masks and clean air along with vaccination and thoughtful social and public health policies can absolutely defeat them. The bad news is we're apparently the dumbest species on earth.

The world is racing to deal with dementia. We want to find out where Canada is on the path to making this country dementia-inclusive.
I’ve been home in Canada for a few days and I’ve spent time with several friends who work in healthcare. The entire Canadian healthcare system is collapsing and there are no clear short term solutions. I have never ever seen things this bad. It is beyond heartbreaking.
Can we please stop calling folks who have trouble accessing healthcare “hard to reach?" Remember that many people face real structural barriers to accessing healthcare (eg language, transportation, trauma). If anything, we in healthcare are the ones who are hard to reach!
To those who attacked me personally for complaining that my taxi driver wasn't wearing a mask while coughing and sniffling. I'm a frontline ER MD. We wear masks EVERY shift. If I get covid, a colleague will have to work my shift which adds to their stress. Think about that.
