Bilingualism in sign language and spoken language (this applies to most countries of the world) is a GORGEOUS thing. You get to fill all gaps of communication, and it's not just about being deaf. It applies to hearing people too.
Notice orgs. trying to be inclusive by emphasizing "no bias" policies. I get the intent, but there's no such thing as "no bias," just conscious bias or unconscious bias. The goal is: recognize we are ALL biased, be conscious of it, & make inclusive decisions in spite of it.
