I investigate competing apps to Passable, as there are already some in varying forms. None exactly like our full vision of course. Interestingly one is named boogers if you read it's name (POPL) in German. 😂 This is certainly also not part of our vision for the German market👃
Here you see our Apple wallet pass rendered in Google wallet, the image disappeared but still works. We will add more fields that the Apple Wallet standard supports soon.
We have out first valid Apple Wallet pass. A contact card, signed in the backend of Passable. It even works in Google wallet to everyones suprise. Let's see to connect the app and the backend soon. ☺️
Looks like we are setup for signing wallet passes from my side now. Passable is shaping up nicely and fast!
Xcode Cloud is working really nicely for me now. Additionally improvements to Passable's form editor are coming along. You can now also tap on the preview. Connecting to the backend will still take a bit.
Created a placeholder icon for Passable, a real artist will be hired in time tho! Next step CI Automation. :)

I'm seriously considering rebranding myself as a "cross-platform Swift developer" compared to "Apple platform developer". Swift in the cloud and on Android is doing amazing and for me this will be the future. 👨🏻💻

Here is the Passable editor in iOS, this time with just mostly invented data. I'm pretty happy how it turned out for one day of work, with iOS and macOS support. 👨🏻💻
A first look at Passable for macOS, created in one day. 😅😮💨 With the backend part we should be able to export wallet files soon!

Speaking more of 1 ⭐️ reviews you can't fix in software: One time we obtain a bad review in a cooking app, as the recipe the user tried did not work without eggs. 🥚 They did not have eggs ready. 🥹 You as a software developer should have supplied those emergency eggs, shame!
What was your worst App Store review, which was not about your app? What do I mean by this? 😃 Like one time I was working for an airline app and we got a 1 ⭐️ review due to luggage of a person getting lost. Of course we were unable to fix this in the app. 😅
I spent a lot more time playing Metroid Prime 4 Beyond and I can only say that it is a great game. Flows amazingly for me. Anyone who likes exploration, Sci-fi and has a Switch 2 should try honestly. Being not my first prime game certainly helped though.
More news! As some have heard, I went from being a full time freelancer to be mostly an employee. Now to the news, my probation time is over and they decided to keep me. 🎉 Looks like I'm staying employed for the foreseeable future, getting used to payed leave and salaries. 🏝️
Personal update - Freelance Work! I'm from now on back supporting my friends at Porsche and Interactive Pioneers. This one is fun as my title is Architect and Technical Lead, an honor to be of service. It is a part time position and will be going at least till September 2026.
