The Boring Mundane Middle of the journey is where we need cheered on the most, but most people only cheer at the start and the end of the race. Who around you are in the middle of the journey that you need to cheer on today?

Pastoral leadership means making tough decisions even when they don't please everyone. Sometimes love looks like saying no. Sometimes growth requires difficult changes. The hardest choices often lead to the greatest breakthrough. Lead with conviction, not just consensus

The real work starts after the big event. New faces, renewed commitments, spiritual breakthroughs, but momentum dies without intentional follow up. Don't let Sunday's harvest spoil. Strike while hearts are soft and the Spirit is moving. Discipleship happens in the follow through

There's something magical about running into church folks at Walmart and having an impromptu parking lot prayer session, or when coffee after service turns into a life changing moment. These aren't just congregation members they're people who lift us up, and chase us down!

The hardest sermons to preach are the ones your congregation needs to hear most. Mental health, money, politics, addiction. Avoiding tough topics doesn't make them disappear. Speak truth in love.

Random: Pastoring in the 90s: 'How do I reach people without the internet?' Pastoring in 2025: 'How do I reach people drowning in the internet?' Different challenges, same calling. Then we fought irrelevance, now we fight information overload. Every generation needs Jesus!

Things people don't know about Pastors: Our work schedule is all over the place! We can start our day in a prayer meeting, move to a conflict meeting with congregants, then go to a finance meeting, and then do a funeral in the evening, come home to sleepy children.

Things people don't know about pastors: We strategically position ourselves at church events to avoid getting cornered by the person who wants to debate prophecy for 45 minutes. We've mastered the polite escape: 'Excuse me, I think someone needs prayer over there.

Things people don't know about pastoring: We have a mental database of everyone's prayer requests from the last 5 years. 'How's your cousin's friend's knee surgery going?' Yes, we actually remember and care. Your burdens become our burdens.

Things people don't know about pastoring: We rehearse difficult conversations in the shower. "So about your son's language in youth group..."gets practiced 47 different ways before we actually make the phone call. Courage comes in increments, be kind to your pastor!

"Things people don't know about pastoring: We have a secret fear that someone will ask us to explain the book of Revelation in detail during casual conversation.

Starting a Series today: Things People don't know about Pastors: The hardest part isn't preaching, it's having lunch with one person who's mad at you and trying to eat while they explain exactly what you did wrong. Ministry is 10% speaking, 90% conflict resolution.

Love isn't just a feeling, it's a decision you make every morning. Choose to see the best in the difficult person. Choose patience with the slow learner. Choose kindness with the critic. Every act of love rewrites someone's story and changes your own heart in the process.

Great pastors think like coaches: they're not on the field scoring touchdowns, they're on the sidelines developing players who can. Your job isn't to do all the ministry it's to equip others to do it better than you ever could. Victory happens when your team wins, not just you!

There's nothing like the rush of watching someone discover their calling and step into their purpose! Church leadership isn't about carrying the weight alone it's about empowering others to soar. When you see lives transformed and leaders emerge, you remember why we work so hard.

Pastors, let's flip the script today! We talk a lot about the challenges, but what about the JOY? What moment this week reminded you why you love what you do? Was it a breakthrough prayer? A life changed? A kid's innocent question? Let's share the joy today!

Pastor life: You start your morning planning a sermon and end it in a hospital room. Between breakfast and lunch, you're a counselor, crisis manager, and ceremonial expert. The only thing predictable about ministry is that it's unpredictable. Stay flexible, stay faithful.

Church busyness isn't a badge of honor, it's often a sign of unclear priorities. When everything is urgent, nothing is important. Stop filling calendars and start fulfilling the mission. Say no to good things so you can say yes to God things. Impact over activity, always.

Your relationship with Jesus isn't built in crisis moments it's built in quiet mornings, ordinary prayers, and daily conversations. Five minutes of genuine connection beats five hours of religious routine. He's not looking for perfection, just presence. Start where you are.

Church isn't just a Sunday event it's a community that shows up. Check on the person who always seems fine. Text the one who's been quiet lately. Sometimes the most powerful sermon is a friend who simply notices and cares. Be that person today.
