I love it when index clients are so proud of the finished product that they send me a copy of the publication. ❤️

Wow. I wonder why he chose to show a picture of a terrible index. Sort of undermines credibility. :/

Eeek. Bad advice in this old blog post for authors writing their own indexes. :( CMS has a whole chap about indexing. Refer to it instead.

New game: index bingo.

Who has two thumbs and a book with index entries for Dracula, punched cards, and neofeudalism? #thisguy #stuffofbits

Very cool: an author who posts excerpts of her book's index! <3

Yay for the people with weak spots for index checking! We love you people! :)

Second on plane stack: book that has Twitter in index (index checking & book smelling are weak spots)

I hear this from many of the authors I work with, too. Apparently, a completed index is like icing on a cake. Sweet. :)

There's nothing like seeing the index page that makes you feel the book is really about to be published😅😲📘🎄🎁 Designing #VUIs @OReillyMedia

Indexing a family history: each page requires three passes: 1. Names, 2. Places, 3. Subjects. Slow going...

An index is actually better than google - "results" are vetted by a human so only the important stuff is included. And no ads! :)

Hopefully they don't all have the same surname Stephen ! 😳

Book I am #indexing has 6 men named Hans, and 4 each named Hennig and Heinrich. That's most of the men so far. Some variety, please.

Hahaha! This is why it's good to check starting with Z and working backwards to A. You'll know right away if the indexer was a pro.

Ack! Indexing malpractice!

Do you think anyone ever notices if an index skips over the last 50 pages of a book? Asking for a friend.

Great article--seeing an index through a designer's eyes. Thank you, @gray!
