In 1971, comics legend Jack Kirby created SPIRIT WORLD, an adult-oriented magazine based around the paranormal. Featuring his trademark collages, Spirit World freaked DC Comics out so much that they published it under a non-existent imprint, Hampshire Distributors!

It's World Arthritis Day today. Sharing this to let people know that kids get arthritis too, and for some it's a daily battle that goes on for many years.

Daniel Farson's HAMLYN BOOK OF GHOSTS IN FACT AND FICTION (1978), one of Hamlyn's quadrilogy of classic books about horror, mysteries, and monsters, went all-out on the illustrations. At times, it's neck-and-neck with Usborne's famous trilogy of paranormal-themed books.

Prog 368 1) Sorry for blurriness. In a hurry. 2) Sherbert Trek doesn't work as a pun on Star Trek, if that's what they were aiming for. 3) Election Bulletin stamped on a bullet DOES work as a pun. 4) This isn't my handwriting in green ink, it's the newsagent's, I recognise it.😠
