🌳 We’re excited to continue our acorn collection for the third year! This season’s abundant crop from resilient parkland oaks supports our commitment to sustainable woodland restoration. 🌱These acorns will grow in our peat-free nursery, nurturing the veteran oaks of the future.

Great to meet Mike Edwards, Director of @albenvironment and Angus Wells, Woodland & Technical Manager recently.🌳   I saw how the Agroforestry scheme at Barton Bendish is helping conventional farming to continue in the face of climate change, while maintaining food production.

It’s #MentalHealthWeek so we took time out of the office to get some fresh air and walk a section of the #norfolkcoastpath as a part of a campaign to raise money for #LandAid ! A great bonding experience for our team whilst raising money for a fantastic cause.

We have just begun work cultivating our AB11 margins at Barton Bendish with the aim of promoting the germination of rare arable “weeds” we are hoping to see a sea of bird’s foot trefoil, rough poppy and corn buttercup over the spring and summer months 🌻🌷🌸🚜

We’ve planted over 600m of hedgerows to create a green lane which will provide essential habitat for many species. 🐝🦋 After much debate with @wildernorfolk we settled on an optimum width of 12m between hedgerows allowing for a 6m flower rich mix to buffer either side.

We have been working hard restoring farm ponds across our land holdings. By removing vegetation from the southern side we are allowing sunlight to heat the water creating a more inviting habitat for amphibians whilst also allowing growth of aquatic vegetation. #farming
