$ 1,734,769.82 That's the price that I have to pay for surviving. I have questioned whether I should have survived or not. I'm upset at how our healthcare system treats its patients. I wanna sleep at peace, so please I'm begging anyone who can do something about this to help me.

A young man who survived a near-deadly explosion is now facing a massive and unexpected medical bill. After months of treatment and recovery, Alexis Hernández says he was hit with a staggering $1.7 million bill from the U.S. government. @annawerner shares his story.

Congrats on 400k subs on Youtube @ninomaeinanis! Thank you for all your hard work and wonderful entertainment!

Things Covid has proven: 1. The job you were told couldn't be done remotely can be done remotely 2. Many disabled workers could have been working from home, but corporations just didnt want them to. 3. Internet is a utility, not a luxury 4. Universal healthcare is necessary

I think about all the Puerto Ricans who drove from the north, east, & west down to the south & sat in bumper to bumper traffic to deliver aid to earthquake evacuees, & now we hear there was a warehouse of supplies in Ponce. This is why people don't trust govt. This. Is. Why.

This was our report for @CBSThisMorning from the top of a mountain in Guánica, Puerto Rico where nearly 100 people have slept for the past week. Many of these people have homes that are damaged. Others have no damage but feel more comfortable here because aftershocks continue.

Puerto Ricans looking out for each other: Alongside the road in Guanica we found local chefs who set up a food kitchen of sorts in corner field & used vegetables from nearby gardens in the earthquake affected zone to make a giant plate of fried rice. People are flocking there.

Tonight, there are about 100 people living at the top of the mountain in Guánica, Puerto Rico. Many have been here since Monday, afraid to stay in their homes, because of aftershocks. They have a little community set up. We went to check on them.

This update came after we filed our report for the CBS Weekend News.

When we arrived to a home in Guánica Puerto Rico, it was clear something needed to be done. A 71yo grandmother, with Alzheimers, was in a bed in the front yard, sunburned, & sweating. She'd been there all week. The family had no power, no water & couldn't find an ambulance.

Here's a Facebook live that I just did with @hari of @NewsHour to talk about Puerto Rico. We were live when an aftershock happened. 1 family ran into the street. For 14 days now, Puerto Ricans have dealt with quakes. It's causing damage, & fear. facebook.com/newshour/video…

I’ve been in Puerto Rico a few days, have only tweeted when I’m ready to share something and thought it through. I’ve interviewed dozens of ppl abt how they are managing the quakes. But it wasn’t until I felt tonight’s 5.2 quake that I personally witnessed the ineffable fear...
