I used money while teaching multiplying and dividing decimals with 5th graders. We extended it later trading pennies for dimes and dimes for dollars. They also connected it to base ten blocks and quick draws. @jrami2015 #realworldconnection #mathacceleration

I can’t even imagine what would happen if teachers and school staffs only worked their contractual hours, only fulfilled their contractual duties and only used the resources their schools provided.

Shoutout to #SAPD Officer Eloy Medina #631! Officer Medina saw a 16-year-old pushing her disabled mother in a wheelchair. Officer Medina made sure they were able to get to Walgreens for essentials and then to their apartment. Way to go, Officer Medina! 💙
