The mental and physical health burden is huge. The massive increase in stress, no leave for months, fewer breaks or respite from front line care. So many patients dying. Many staff will have had Covid & some long covid. Many have lost relatives and friends to Covid. 5/12

‘The overrunning of the NHS would be a medical & moral disaster’ says @BorisJohnson. He was unmoved in 2017 when the Red Cross declared a humanitarian crisis in the NHS, with massive queues in emergency departments & people dying on trolleys. We should have increased beds then.

There was me thinking #Trump might have been quietened down a bit after his brush with the " #ChinaVirus ". From his soundbites today, (which I've done my best to ignore), it sounds like he may have become even more dangerous.
We need to talk about university students, many of whom are 18-year-olds - adolescents - living away from home for the first time. I’m hearing distressing stories about isolation, loneliness and being stuck in rooms. Are we getting it right? Are other countries doing it better?
