Growers may be finding various ear molds like Diplodia, Fusarium & Aspergillus in their corn fields during harvest. Late season moisture, high humidity, hybrid susceptibility, & earworm damage can all influence ear mold development.
On corn fungicides: Highest ROI (based on years of ind. data) is between VT-R2 (depending on weather/type/pressure/etc) Hearing reports of some retailers pushing for an app. on nearly dented (R4-R5) fields. This is agronomically AND financially too late/unnecessary. #fungicide
