When Trump was first elected in 2016, Republicans had a 66-34 edge in the Virginia House of Representatives. As things stand now, Democrats are poised to have a 64-36 edge come next year.
Like, at least in 2017 I could hold on to the fact that Trump illegitimately won as a redeeming quality for our country. Now? Nope, this shit show is exactly what America voted for legitimately. Your neighbors wanted this and now life for good people will suck while evil thrives.

Idk, Trump is going to match his vote total from 2020 but Harris is like 16 million votes short as of now.
Yes, but Trump is also leading in the popular vote this time. So many people stayed home in 2024 or did not request a ballot.
As someone who DOESN'T live in a swing state, I'm gonna say this with my full chest: I'm tired of 7 fucking states deciding the fate of 50 states.
North Carolina will be interesting over the next two years. New Democratic governor and lieutenant governor. Democratic attorney general and Secretary of State. But a legislature that has wielded gerrymandering so powerfully that they run rampant with GOP abuse.
This really hurts. Why did so many millions of people not vote?
Honestly, not really. I’m working on compiling some thoughts, but it’s going to take some time to triage this one. How did so many fewer Americans vote this time? We had record voter registration and record turnout AND millions fewer votes?
I was wrong. I thought America wanted a good person running this country. I thought Harris had inspired a huge groundswell of support to bring her to victory. I thought people were getting sick of Trump. I thought America was better. I was wrong.
Not sure why only google has said this, but Missouri has voted to create a constitutional amendment protecting the right to abortion.
I really thought there was enough momentum for Harris and enough disgust of Trump for the good guys to pull this out. Idk why so many have voted for Trump, but this is saddening.
Ouch. I mean, I expected Georgia to be more difficult. But I didn’t expect it be called this early.
