8 August 2025, H.E. Ambassador Muvangua conveyed his heartfelt condolences to the Government and people of the Republic of Ghana at the Embassy of Ghana in Addis Ababa, following the tragic loss of eight Ghanaian lives in a recent plane crash.

Today, Mr. and Mrs. Makuwa, representatives of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints to the African Union and the Government of Ethiopia, paid a courtesy call on H.E. Ambassador Muvangua to brief him on their ongoing charitable initiatives.

Today, H.E. Ambassador Muvangua bid farewell to H.E. Ambassador Rose Sakala of the Republic of Zambia, who departed from Addis Ababa following the conclusion of her tour of duty.

Today, H.E. Amb Mbapeua Muvangua met with H.E. Amb Nakagawa Tsutomu, Ambassador of Japan. The meeting focused on preparations for the upcoming #TICAD9, to be held in Yokohama from 20–22 August 2025. Reaffirming Namibia–Japan cooperation in advancing Africa’s development.

On 24 July 2025 in Addis Ababa, Ambassador Teshome Toga Chanaka, Special Envoy of the OSC Secretary-General, paid a courtesy call to H.E. Ambassador Mbapeua Muvangua to advance multilateral cooperation between Namibia and the OSC.

H.E Mbapeua Muvangua leads the Namibian delegation to the 47th Ordinary Session of the AU Executive Council taking place from 10-11 July 2025 in Malabo, Equatorial Guinea

On 7 July, Ambassador Muvangua presented Namibia’s Instrument of Ratification of the Revised African Maritime Transport Charter to the African Union. Namibia becomes the 14th of the 15 required countries to ratify the Charter, bringing it one step closer to entering into force.

On 25 June, the Embassy of Namibia in Ethiopia welcomed a delegation from the Ministry of Finance conducting a benchmark study visit on the establishment of procurement job categories, with a focus on best practices from the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia.
