However many good things you hear about Jerry this week- and I'm sure there will be many- know that it's just scratching the surface. Jerry was a brilliant artist, but he was also one of the kindest people I've ever met. His life was a blessing; may his memory be one as well.

The Caldecott Medal winner died of a heart attack on Wednesday. He was known for illustrating over 100 books for readers of all ages, including The Lion and the Mouse and Their Eyes Were Watching God.

I respect like hell those of you who have been tweeting here through this election and COVID spike. I try to keep my realname twitter reasonably free of profanity and despair, so i haven't known what to say. Thanks to those of you keeping it up for the rest of us.
The funny/not funny part of these flipped states? A lot of teens that grew up under the last administration cast their very first votes in this cycle and wanted nothing to do with a repeat. BIPOC & LGBTQ+ kids voted him out.
