If we are ever in a meeting or conference call and I’m saying something that is demonstrably wrong, feel free to interrupt me so I don’t waste my time and yours. Two caveats: 1. Don’t interrupt me to give me your opinion. Give me facts. 2. Be right.

In the 80s, I wrote a thesis titled "Greek Infantry and Cavalry with Special Reference to the 5th Century BC". My supervisor, Professor Richmond, died this year and I posted this comment on the death notice on Facebook. I use the skills he instilled in me in my work today.

Sent my application for a new passport card on Sunday. Passport Office put the new card in the post on Tuesday. If this is any indication of the broader efficiency and effectiveness of @dfatirl , then perhaps they should be running all government departments.

Someone tweeted that the delta between a software developer's understanding of a business process and the reality of that process is a common problem. A far more common delta is between the physical data architecture of software solutions and the taxonomy of the business.
I have rarely been on a project where they don't point at a physical database design when I ask about the logical data model (and then look nonplussed when I say I want to see a technology-agnostic model). Not even Google gets it when you search for "logical data modeling tools".
In 6 hours of practical training over 3 days, we show you how to use #decisionmodeling to manage requirements for #digitialdecisioning, #businessrules, #analytics and even #AI. Register today! @jamet123 bit.ly/1Nnplze
