I don’t like @TomBrady, BUT, I like him as an analyst. He sees things others don’t; “That was a no-laces pass” and “ if he had thrown it a fraction of a second earlier“. I like it. He sees the game VERY well and it shows in his analysis.
The mom knows a process. The child is showing understanding conceptually. I’m actually impressed that he can explain it so well. This is a misunderstanding of how math is taught today. It seems convoluted but the goal is to understand the concept rather than reproduce a process.
