Arsenal FC was a Kentish football team and their first ground was called Invicta. A lot of my family came from the Woolwich area of Kent, and so there are many Arsenal supporters.

Ah, the start of the season when Reach news outlets pretend to be able to predict the EXACT time snow will fall where you live in their continued abandonment of journalistic standards in the shameless pursuit of clicks.

Cold arctic air from the north will bring snow showers for some to start the new year. What happens during the first full week of January is still uncertain. Find out more in this week’s 10 Day Trend with Alex Burkill 👇

"There’s a sort of wonderful, monotonous addictiveness about running." Guest editor Sir James Dyson asks former Conservative MP Matthew Parris, who holds the record for fastest marathon run by a sitting MP, what lessons he learnt from long-distance running.

If you are thinking of buying tickets as a Christmas gift for loved ones for Brighton or Villa from random people on Twitter : Please don’t do it. Nobody has 3 or 4 spares for these games. You will just get ripped off

Out in London nearly every night the last week. 4 music events, a pub quiz, Xmas drinks, birthday party. Stratford, the O2, Kentish Town, Holloway, Soho, Camden, Green Lanes. Never seen the city so busy, people lovely, public transport clean & efficient & I wasn’t murdered once

Oh, man. Worked so closely for many years when we worked on Kent Business together. He would challenge me constantly because he cared so much. Was so happy in my post KM life to arrange for him to be part of an @englandcricket squad picture as a thank you. Rest easy Trevor.

Very sad news to read this evening. A big loss for Kent.

The most inept title defence ever? Especially after all that money spent. All the pundits telling everyone else to give up when they signed Isak.
