Current mitigations are clearly not effective at preventing the spread of COVID-19 in our schools. It would be sensible for pupils who have been in close contact with individuals who have tested positive for Covid-19 to isolate. Please sign & share petition.parliament.uk/petitions/5902…
And just to note that in the same period in 2020 (28 June - 21 Oct) we recorded 3,719 deaths within 28 days. I cannot accept that 3 times as many deaths a year later in the age of high vaccination is anything other than a failure of public health policy.
Deaths remain relatively high (given vaccination progress) - although far lower than January peak, we've still recorded over 11,000 deaths since 27th June. ONS death registration confirms than 86% of deaths with Covid are *directly* due to Covid. 8/20

In an agitated YouTube video posted 2 weeks ago the Plymouth gunman, named locally as Jake Davison, refers to himself as “the terminator”. He appears to affiliate with Incel (involuntary celibate) - a misogynistic group - expressing sympathy for “Incel virgins”.
Already been asked for 'comments' to send to media types focussing on the Plymouth shooter's #mentalhealth. No idea if any of those responsible for it will take heed of my (or anyone else's) concerns, so here's my full (if hurried) take on the matter.
It's deeply concerning that nothing much is being done to ventilate classrooms, says @GabrielScally of @IndependentSage. In New York they can monitor the level of air ventilation in every individual public classroom and ventilators are being provided. Wow.
