It appears I wasn't the only reporter asking questions. Under pressure, confused, dazed, some say incompetent, APD Command Staff opens and shuts investigation. ERT Commanding Sergeant back on duty (but relieved of command decisions)... via @GraceReaderTV kob.com/albuquerque-ne…

Me: Another homicide in Albuquerque today. Friend: You mean the two yesterday? Me: No, another one today... three in 24 hours.

The city did not want this case heard in court for good reason. @GallegosGilbert statement is a desperate attempt by a desperate @MayorKeller administration to save a crumbling narrative and botched attempt to deflect an out of control crime problem for which they have no answers

Former APD Chief Mike Geier said the settlement doesn’t make sense. He issued the following statement:

Friends, from all over the world, asked me if #BreakingBad was real. Living near @cabq since 1962, I had to say 80% was spot on. abqjournal.com/2366213/police…

Five more homicides today? Four bodies at the airport. Wow! Might be time to shift your focus Harold Medina and Tim Keller. #Crime is the #1 problem!

ABQ PD concocted a new Administrative Order (AO) concerning complaints involving department policy or personnel. The AO did not go through APD’s required “transparent, structured and informed development” process, went “effective” 3yrs before it was proposed, & expired 4yrs ago.

Weeks before I was asked to resign @ABQPoliceChief Medina told me he was about to become the next chief. @MayorKeller has spoken of a police chief search, but it appears his mind was made up before the search. Now excuses are being made for record setting crime with no solutions.

With 23 homicides so far in 2021, one has to wonder what progress is being made at APD.

Contrary to the current narrative of Mayor Keller and Harold Medina, my administration’s goals were very simple. Reduce violent crime and gain compliance in the City of Albuquerque Settlement Agreement. My efforts were constantly undermined by Harold Medina and Mike Smathers.
