Automating away every job of significance will surely have no unintended consequences.

Optimus will eliminate poverty and provide universal high income for all

I think I know more about what has happened in my life than you do.

Kindness can do a hell of a lot to get through barriers. I've never come across a nurse that wasn't kindness and care personified. All but one of the doctors I have seen have been the same. And this was through a language barrier - I couldn't speak their language so they had…

Kathryn LifeLearner 已轉發

Our politics and media really want to present the UK as an island adrift from empathy and understanding with any form of kindness being seen as being weak, divisive and dangerous.

NHS doctor here, Rupert. If you'd checked your facts before this racist dogwhistle, you'd know that every NHS doctor can speak English - as proven by their IELTS proficiency (look it up... or are you just a populist hatemonger for whom facts don't matter?). Kindness may not solve…

A comment which sums up the mad delusion of many on the left. ‘Kindness’ can overcome migrant language issues in the NHS, I’m told. Good luck with that. I’ll go with the doctor who can actually speak English, thanks.

Preventing people from being in a high CO2 environment is caring about their comfort. It can cause headaches and various other negative physical sensations in the short term, but the people wouldn’t be able to place the cause.

Kathryn LifeLearner 已轉發

Yes. Using the CO2 monitor you could also have opened the window intermittently to keep readings at a safer level, this is a legitimate approach when the weather is very cold. Even open a crack is beneficial, the temperature gradient will assist natural ventilation.

Kathryn LifeLearner 已轉發

I cannot tolerate cold. I will stay at home with my windows tightly shut all winter. Pneumonia kills, too.

Kathryn LifeLearner 已轉發

Yes cause opening the window a crack when it’s +5 degrees Celsius would cause someone to get sick. I’m sure! They all had jackets with them. They were all adults. None of them were frail. I don’t like the cold either, but being slightly chilled for a few hours beats being sick

A co2 monitor can help show when the air becomes unsafe due to the lack of oxygen circulating.

You don’t understand how elastomeric respirator masks work.

Kathryn LifeLearner 已轉發

Yes I can open window. Co2 comes right down when I do that. It happens when I forget to open windows especially when its cold. Its amazing how quickly CO2 rises in the enclosed space. I’m sure my brain does not appreciate the oxygen deprivation.

Kathryn LifeLearner 已轉發

Are running hepa filters? Can you open the window a crack? Do you have to close the door? Or can you plan breaks at intervals that allow you to air out the room? If you don’t share a household w/anyone, your biggest concern is your brain lacking o2 to do your work effectively

My office at home goes up to 1300ppm when I close the door.

What are our chances that in 3 yrs' time, or Yr 9 of the pandemic, 1st Aid training has caught up with science?...(not holding my breath.)
