I dont agree with this. My husband is a police officer and he calls out sick because he is tired of getting hit by bricks etc. Not every cop is bad and yes he will find a new profession soon.
ANY police officer who has CALLED IN SICK and otherwise REFUSED to do their job should be summarily FIRED ON THE SPOT and their PENSIONS FORFEITED. Also CRIMINAL CHARGES should be considered for abandoning your position. That's what we did in Louisiana during Hurricane Katrina
