The #stlblues have signed Suter to a 2x4M contract. I don’t love it but now we have 3 centers (Schenn, Suter, and Bjugstad) that can play middle six minutes. None of them will blow you away but they will get the job done.
Much of this data is from SJS gameplay so take it with a grain of salt, but 3x7M is still quite an overpay for Granlund. Then again, why else would he sign in Anaheim where hockey dreams go to die. I’m sure the beaches are great
This is the perfect “kick the can down the road” signing. We have two elite 3Cs (or two bad 2Cs) in Schenn and Bjugstad. Dvorsky can come in late season and be the 2C for a playoff run. #STLBlues
I do not have a stat sheet for Mailloux yet due to his lack of NHL playing time. Bolduc had a lot of potential, but relied on PP time to produce while taking quite a few penalties. I’m not sure the return is worth the loss, but it’s hard to tell.
Ekblad signed 8x6.1M, Marchand 6x5M, Bennett 8x8M by #TimeToHunt Its apparent that the players love playing in SoFlo. Going to be tough to beat a team with this many team friendly deals. Insanity when you consider the new cap levels too.
8x12M for Marner, which is pretty fair compared to what we calculated. Might have taken a slight tax free discount when considering the new cap level. Curious to see how he does without the #LeafsForever pressure. #VegasBorn
Logan Stankoven signed 8x6M by #Canes We have him closer to 5M, but with the cap going up we will see higher contracts this summer. I’d say this is a fair forward looking contract as he develops.
Brock Nelson, signed 3x7.5AAV by COL is a good center that has seen his defensive numbers surge up after playing on a better team this year. Contract seems fair based on past 3 yrs and cap going up but he is on the back 9 of his career #GoAvsGo
