But He was pierced because of our transgressions (crimes, revolt), crushed (beaten to pieces) because of our iniquities (sins); punishment for our peace (state of welfare) was on Him, and we are healed by His wounds (slashing, flogging) (Isaiah 53:5). #jesus
This was to fulfill what was spoken through Isaiah the prophet: “He Himself took our infirmities (weakness, stumbling blocks) and carried (removed) away our diseases (sickness)” (Matt 8:17).
One thing is true! God has been consistent even in my inconsistency.
