the thing about fandom puritanism and the morally righteous echo chamber that young people have locked themselves in is it's also a form of anti-intellectualism. you're scared of engaging with media that disgusts you b/c you're scared you might enjoy it and realize you were wrong
I believe artists need to treat themselves more like an annoying irremovable stain on social media rather than an passive abiding guest. Rub yourself into the fabric of every place you go and be annoying about it. They wanna scrub you out, don't let them.
