Sometimes I wish for the time before social media and the internet. When my opinion was formed only by Sunday papers and Grandad's moaning.
In London for a few days. Took the opportunity to visit our church. Fantastic day, met some great people, fans and staff, each with their own story of what The Arsenal means to them. So many magical moments but seeing Michael Thomas' Anfield '89 boots was a particular highlight.
Beautiful.
Every season I try to convince myself that Arsenal will not dictate my mood and yet here we are on the cusp of our first game and I'm nervous as hell and expecting to be euphoric or devastated this evening through til around Thursday.
Pure genius.

An early goal, a swift equaliser, an hour of worry, a late winner. No cards, no injuries, no bad VAR, and everyone gets home safely.
Some games matter more than most. If we win tomorrow, without Saliba, Ødegaard and, possibly, Saka, the confidence and belief will surge through us again. One game can change so many things.
What a ball from Trossard. What a header from Havertz. What a very good goal.
Best teams mix it up, Invincibles did it, Utd did it, City do it. Class would be not making an excuse of it to justify how your billions couldn't beat 10 men at home.
