Happy Día de los Muertos💀🌺 Celebrated on Nov. 1st-2nd. We ❤️ this festive Mexican tradition. A day to remember our dearly departed loved ones, and share their favorite foods. 6th-8th made Oaxacan cheese quesadillas, & wrote letters of remembrance to honor our loved ones 💀🌺❤️

That's a wrap for Family Literacy Night with partners @HoustonAreaUL! Families learned about supporting literacy at home, kids got 4 free @Scholastic books, visited the book Fair, and everyone took home @FrenchysChicken meals!
We had a visit from our @HISD_ACC Counseling Coordinator, Barbara Finkle, who just happens to be my favorite teacher of all time from 4th grade at Poe ES! We've had a lifelong connection & I'm so glad she's still part of my life seeing me lead all grown up!
We've got Response Cards on deck! Scholars are drafting SCRs using stems and text evidence! PD led by @MarlenaBaity in action. Next phase of the ERC plan coming up next week!
