The Grade R girls had a fun morning meeting their Grade 1 teachers for 2020. They made bookmarks ready for their new readers next year and decorated beautiful Christmas biscuits with food colouring. Thank you very much to the Grade 7 girls for assisting us.

Our Grade 1 and 2 girls had a delightful morning ‘monkeying around’ at the Benoni Monkey and Bird Park. We had a wonderful demonstration and saw many beautiful animals including various birds, lizards, snakes, lemurs, llamas and even had a chance to pet a tortoise.
Valedictory evening took place last night. Congratulations to all our Matrics and to the trophy and awards winners! ACS is very proud of you all.

Simon Ndima is a Zimbabwean born and trained artist. With an interesting European background in fine art. Today, Simon spent the morning with our Grade 7 art class. The girls learnt how to understand tonal value and how to manipulate graphite shavings.
Congratulations to our Junior Debaters who won two debates in the SACEE Championships on Saturday, 1 June! (We eagerly await the result for the third debate, which is treated as a closed round.)
Catholic Schools celebrated 'Catholic Schools Sunday' yesterday. The boys and girls from various Catholic schools, wore their school uniform in celebration of this annual event.

On Sunday 10th March we attended Elections for JCC. ACS is very proud to announce that Micaela de Gouveia has been elected as Council Manager and we know she will do us proud. Lisa Godwin was chosen to be Secretary of the Environment committee. We look forward to the year ahead.
