Micah brought home an easy reader about Steve, the worker bee. Micah was disturbed by the inaccuracies, so he he renamed the bee Molly and changed all the pronouns to she. All because, “boys can’t be worker bees!”

Does anyone work at Plant Vogtle? The management wants to know if any beekeepers are on site that they can reach out to when they have swarms.


Walking out to the car tonight, my 7 year old asked, “are there any bees in the car?”... It might be swarm season.

Mark Your Calendars! May 20th at 3 pm is the next Jr. Beekeeper Meeting at Phinizy Swamp. We'll inspect our hives, so if you have protective gear, bring it. We'll also help the park out by doing a little flower bed maintenance. You are welcome to bring a friend!
