Could someone do me a favor and define “weeb.” Because I always thought it was related to obsession with Japanese pop culture. Some people are now using it to mean a non-Japanese person with ANY connection to Japan, which makes the term pretty much lose all meaning. 🤷♂️

here’s why when we see the word “yaoi” we aren’t breaking it up into the syllables ”ya-oi” we break it up into “yao-i“ because that’s how you would break that word apart in English. and “Yao” in English phonetics is “yow”. “I” placed after makes the “ee” sound
