With a seasonal tilt and no motorization, Azgard Solar's systems are durable and optimized for Canadian winters. #solar #renewableenergy
With the sun coming back out, now's the perfect time to think about installing a SunRanger solar system. Most units can be self-installed in a few days and will save you on your power bill for years to come. Contact us at 403 236-5501 or at [email protected]
Azgard's SunRanger solar system tilts to meet the season. We kept the design free of motorization or hydraulics in order to ensure there's nothing that breaks down in the cold weather. Just set it to the proper angle once a season! Contact us (403) 236-5501 or [email protected]
Has anyone ever asked you "why would you set up a solar system where it snows 6 months a year"? Hopefully, this video can help explain the advantages of solar systems in Winter Climates. #CanadianSolar #Agriculture #Farming #SolarEnergy #WinterSolar #Ag #Renewables
One of Azgard's SunRangers can generally be set up with a few workers and some hand tools in about half a day. Here's the entire process, start to finish, in this 2 minute long video from one of our trade show appearances. youtu.be/kg4r1xMdVPk #SolarEnergy #WinterSolar
Azgard's SunRanger went through a few iterations over the years, but we always kept the core principle the same; a manual seasonal tilt to keep the panels clean and facing the sun. #renewableenergy #CanadianSolar #Agriculture #Farming #SolarEnergy #WinterSolar #Ag #Renewables
Here's the full video of our pull test. While the U-bolts that secure the rack to the foundations deformed, they didn't fail. Ultimately the failure occurred in the leg. The force exerted came to the equivalent of 120 km/h winds youtube.com/watch?v=R-ImKX…
Excited to perform a pull test on our solar rack. How much force do you think she'll take to tear down? We'll be posting the video on Tuesday! #canadiansolar #agriculture #farming #solarenergy #wintersolar #ag #renewables
Here we see an overhead winter photo of our solar farm located in Black Bay, ON. While there's snow all over the ground, the panels are clear. Having the SunRanger units tilted to the proper seasonal position will keep you producing through winter #CanadianSolar #Renewables
Our idea when we designed our solar system for harsh northern climates was to keep everything as simple as possible, and no motors means nothing breaks in the cold. Just angle the tilt to the proper seasonal position, and you're all set for winter! #SolarEnergy #Renewables
Do you have your SunRanger in the Winter Position yet? Remember that tilting your system to the proper angle can increase it's power output and keep it free of snow. Looking for a Solar System that's ready for Canada? Give us a call! #CanadianSolar #Agriculture #SolarEnergy
Snow is already here for our friends in Manitoba, and these photos show us Azgard's winter advantages. In the 1st we "see" a rooftop system, the 2nd we see our SunRangers. Notice a difference? Seasonal tilts are SO important in the Canadian climate.
Don't forget to stop by booth #570 at @AginMotion in Saskatoon starting on Tuesday! We're preparing a full solar system to demonstrate our seasonal tilt. Come with your questions or just to say hi!
An animated demo of The SunRanger's seasonal tilting system: Want to see the real thing in action? We'll have a full system on display and ready to demo at @AginMotion in Saskatoon, July 16 - 18. Visit us with any questions you have. Hope to see you!
We have a new, more mobile-friendly website! Visit azgard.com for info on our products, past projects, and the services we offer. Stay tuned! We'll be making further updates to the site over the next few weeks azgard.com
Azgard will be at @MBAgDays in Brandon January 22nd to the 24th. Check us out at our indoor booth, or if you feel like braving the cold, come see our SunRanger Solar System on display outside. Hope to see you there!
Did you know? The Albedo effect is when the sun's rays are reflected off of light surfaces, such as snow, and return to the atmosphere. Azgard's solar system, "The SunRanger" is designed to take advantage of the albedo effect by capturing sunlight reflected off the snow.
Setting up your own solar system in Alberta just became even easier! Last week @efficiencyAB rolled out updates to residential and commercial solar rebate programs, meaning access to cleaner, more affordable energy across the province. #GreenEnergy ow.ly/b5Pt30mBMrg
Azgard Solar will be at @agritradetoday in Red Deer, Nov 7-9. We'll be at Outdoor Booth 2010 with a operational solar system for you to check out. Be sure to stop by and say hi! #AgriTrade18 #agribusiness
In 2014, Azgard worked with the community of Colville Lake, NWT to set up several solar units and reduce the reliance on diesel generators. The project was covered by several media outlets, including this article from CTV: ctvnews.ca/business/n-w-t… #throwbackthursday #tbt #solar
